About CoinBettors

Most crypto gambling “review” sites are traffic brokers. They rank operators on a hidden ladder of affiliate commission, write five hundred words from a press kit, never deposit, never test, never withdraw, and call it a review. The ranking is the rate card. The “verdict” is whatever the operator paid for.

CoinBettors does the opposite. Every site listed here has been deposited at with real crypto, played at, withdrawn from, and graded against a documented 1-to-5 scale across five factors. If a sportsbook limits winners, if a casino runs ambush KYC at the cashier, if a “no-KYC” brand starts asking for ID at withdrawal, that gets called out on the page. Sometimes that costs us a partnership. That’s fine.

Who runs CoinBettors

CoinBettors is run by Balazs Pal, founder, reviewer and the person behind every piece of testing on the site. Background goes well beyond content. Eight-plus years in iGaming, including close to five years running CRM for a national sportsbook with more than a million active users. That means real understanding of how risk teams, bonus systems, retention flows and verification processes are built from the operator side, the side most affiliate sites never see.

On the bettor side, close to a decade of betting NBA and MLB markets seriously, with results tracked publicly on Betstamp through the BetPredictionSite project. Over 100 sportsbooks tested with personal money, plenty of them ending in limits, blocks, freezes and the occasional scam. That’s the lens. CoinBettors reviews sportsbooks the way someone who actually wants to win at them would: limits, market depth, pricing, live betting behavior, account risk, and what happens when a player starts winning, not just clicking around.

On the affiliate side, prior roles led content, SEO, design and compliance at Raketech across multi-market gambling portfolios before founding the lean network of crypto gambling sites that now includes CoinBettors.

How we actually test the sites

Documents and marketing copy don’t tell the full story, so we run real sessions. We sign up, deposit crypto, place bets and play games, request withdrawals, time the payouts, test support across live chat and email, read the terms (the actual terms, not the summary box), and check the license against what the site claims. If the site requires KYC at signup, we log it. If verification only appears when we try to withdraw, we log that. If support sends canned replies and stalls on responsible-gambling tools, that gets noted in the review.

Three real numbers from the testing operation so far: 30-plus crypto gambling sites deposited at, 5,000+ USD of personal capital cycled through deposits and withdrawals, and over 1,000 hours of research time logged. Not a press release. Time and money on the line.

The 1-to-5 grading system

Every CoinBettors review scores the operator on five weighted factors:

• Sportsbook & Casino Experience (25%) – Odds quality and vig on sportsbooks, market depth, live betting, limits, behavior on winning bettors. On the casino side, game variety, RTP transparency, live dealer quality, and whether provably fair is real or just a badge.
• Deposits & Withdrawals (25%) – Crypto payment options, network coverage (stablecoins on cheap chains matter), real payout speed, hidden fees, limits, and whether “instant withdrawals” survive a six-figure win.
• Bonuses & Promotions (20%) – Graded on a separate 100-point bonus rubric: Rollover 40%, Eligible Games / Minimum Odds 30%, Expiry 15%, Minimum Deposit 10%, Hidden Restrictions 5%. Any bonus over 40x rollover gets penalized hard, since that’s almost always engineered to be unclearable.
• Security & Licensing (15%) – Real license verification (not just a footer badge), where the operator is registered, whether the ADR process exists, KYC trigger behavior, and operator history. Curaçao under the new CGCB framework scores differently from a Costa Rica corporate registration that pretends to be a license.
• Customer Support (15%) – Live chat response times, depth of answers, willingness to act on responsible-gambling requests. A support team that takes 48 hours to enable a deposit cap is failing the player and the score reflects that.

The weighted score becomes the final 1-to-5 star rating shown on every review page. A 4-star or higher rating means we’d deposit there ourselves with a straight face. Most operators do not get there.

What we won’t do

We don’t take payment for ranking position. Affiliate links fund the site, but the score is the score, and a higher-paying operator with worse withdrawal behavior ranks below a lower-paying one with cleaner terms.

We don’t certify casinos we haven’t deposited at. If a brand is in the top list, real money has moved through it.

We don’t recommend no-deposit bonuses. They look free but the rollover terms are usually engineered to be unclearable. Better value comes from a small deposit on a fair welcome offer than from grinding an impossible no-deposit bonus.

We don’t pretend “no KYC” means no verification. Most no-KYC marketing means no KYC at signup. ID can still get demanded at withdrawal, and we say that on every relevant page.

Responsible gambling

Crypto gambling adds risks that fiat sites don’t have. Volatility eats bankrolls quietly. Transactions are irreversible, no chargebacks, no fraud team. Anonymity makes it easier to hide a growing problem from yourself. Loss caps, deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are not optional features on a serious site, they’re table stakes. Operators that don’t publish working tools get downgraded in Security & Licensing and Customer Support, every time, no exceptions.
