Steam Play Is Named and Banned
MyBookie defines playing steam as “deliberately wagering on a line that is moving across several betting offices before MyBookie has moved it with the purpose of gaining an advantage.” Get flagged as a steamer or originator and management can revoke free plays, cash bonuses and winnings, then limit or close the account.
In practice, that means beating a stale line is against the rules. Which is most of what winning at sports betting consists of.
The Equal-Action Rule on Derived Markets
This one is unusual enough to be worth its own line. MyBookie requires equal dollar amounts of action between full games and derived events. Derived events include live betting, quarter betting, team props, player props and minor league sports, at the bookmaker’s discretion.
Bet $500 on a player prop and $50 on the game itself and you are outside the rules. Props are where soft books leak the most value, and this clause exists to close that door.
Syndicates, Courtsiding and Beards
Syndicate betting, meaning accounts acting together or one account betting for another’s benefit, allows MyBookie to void the bets and withhold winnings pending investigation. Courtsiding means permanent suspension plus removal of winnings and deposits. Collusion is defined to include the use of “beards and movers” to place wagers.
One account per player, household, IP, device, phone number, email and card. Multiple accounts void all bets and reverse all profits.
